so uh it's already past october and im no longer going to put it in read more for spoilers BUT im gonna put it in read more because this post is gonna be hella long

so here's what my reaction was about the UC

ARE THESE PEOPLE INSANE

they let a freaking WAR CRIMINAL (francois sanon) live, kept boxed up in a nice little room just because the previous higher ups in the UC were like 'ah yes this man is useful to us let him live hehe'

instead of you know, EXCICUTING HIM LIKE THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO the UC faked francois's death

later on the in missions: he flat out admits to the terrormorphs attack on new atlantis and tau ceti. i fucking wonder why the cabinet (the group of people in charge btw) was so freaking nervous on the attacks that he put in the first place

i got my player character to stick to their guns and told everything to the cabinet instead of keeping it a secret like he wanted

francois: 'the attacks...were a correction. when i discovered the plant, i did consider handing over what i'd found. but we were at war, and i couldn't risk information that dangerous falling into the wrong hands. so i ordered the bombing of the londinion spaceport, fixing two problems at once- halting the spread of the city's terrormorph outbreak...and sealing away knowledge of the plant's potential.

pc: please. no secret is so dangerous that you can justify condemning so many lives.

francois: simple to say now. but with the outbreak raging from a barely understood source, the moment demanded a quick action. so i did what was required. i removed a dangerous variable from an already catastrophic war. but then as the war ended - my trial, my execution - i made a decision. after all, i'd given everything for the colonies, my life as i knew it included. and what i did i get in return? was there any effort by the uc to protect my legacy? my daughter' legacy? no. we were sacrificed when all we did was serve. so i kept what i'd learned and arranged the attacks to set things right again. my daughter, she becomes a hero.

and he did this to get revenge on the UC and to point the player character and hadrian as the heroes. he set this all up, had this plan figured out, just so hadrian's legacy can look good (when she didn't even know he was alive to begin with btw)

god the more he talked the more he pissed me off LOL he's like 'there are no heroes without a villian'

as much as i hate this man i really wanted to grab the UC by the throat and shake them violently for letting this man live

also side note: keeping sam with me alongside these missions was really awesome because of how much he can relate to hadrian

i REALLY liked the uc missions, i think it was way more fun than the freestar ranger ones, but damn dude these missions made me hate the uc more LOL
